Prelude
    Giants/Bass:
Order can be repaired,
Trust that we are prepared!
Friends will come…

Chorus
    Giants/Bass:
We tried,
And we’ve cried,
For his pain!

We can’t return,
Though we may yearn…

Words we wish,
We could say,
When we left that day!

     Skull Kid/Alto (preferred younger voice)
Leave me!
Hate me!
Couldn’t they see,
The pain I held inside?

Why had they not cried?
Blind to only I!
Why did they not try?

Bridge 1
Skull Kid/Alto
       Giants/Bass:
Would but he could hear us!

Do they know,
Does he know,
That it hurts me so?
That it hurts us so?

Can I still be their friend?
Does he know we’re still his friends?

Bridge 2
Majora/Alto or Tenor (please see bottom for more info)
Order can’t be repaired,
We know they never cared!
Friends won’t come!

            Skull Kid/Alto:
My cries they never hear!
            Majora/Tenor:
Even as shadows drew near,
          Skull Kid/Alto w/Majora/Tenor
Goodbye…

             Giants/Bass:
Our friend…

Chorus

Sung w/Chorus
              Skull Kid/Alto
Everyone I’ve know has left me!
Never have I been so lonely!
Terrors none would notice,
Not a smile, nor a poultice!
Pain followed me everywhere,
Yet no one would even care!
Soon I lost my way in shadow,
Yet these sorrows never let go!
Finally, someone called out,
Someone who could hear me shout!

         Skull Kid/Alto transitioning to Majora/Tenor
No one else could understand,
The pain inside caused by this land!
Locked in a world not of my own!
Like rubbish, we were scorned and thrown!

                   Majora/Tenor
No one else would teach them pain,
With anger running through each vein,
We took all we could want or need!
No longer, their pities heed!
Now it all comes to an end,
They will know…

Coda
           Giants/Bass
Sing out and we will hear,
Call as shadows draw near!
Trust us, Friend…

w/Coda
            Majora/Tenor
The pain of a friend!
            Skull Kid/Alto w/Majora
Please mercy send!
For those of you who are curious and perhaps don't know what LoZ is (no offense to you who do), it stands for Legend of Zelda. Now, hold your horses before you turn away, understand that even if you think the games are geeky, the orchestrated versions of it's music are not. They range from jazz to cultural to classical and so on and so forth, it's not all adventure and glam. This song is one such, it utilizes the sound of the classic baroquesque organ with the passion of the romantic era.

After listening to this particular piece that I found on zeldadungeon.net's music for Majora's Mask, I became entranced with the ORCHESTRATION* of Oath to Order. Upon hearing it I heard the backstory of the game come to light. For those unfamiliar with the backstory of Majora's Mask here's a basic synopsis:
A little imp named Skull Kid became friends with four great giants. One day the giants left to protect the lands around them, but from what I can gather they never made it clear to him why they left him. Skull Kid distraught over the loss of his dearest friends set about annoying and pestering the people that the giants swore to protect. The people cried to the four giants to save them with the song Oath to Order and they threatened to tear the imp limb from limb if he did not leave their world forever. The Skull Kid distraught and alone found himself in the Lost Woods where he stole a mask from a Salesman. The mask led him to do wicked deeds, things that went beyond his usual pranks, it seemed to slowly take over him. Nearing the end the story comes full round when it is seen that the giants regretted their angry words with the little Skull Kid and realized that he was not to blame for the true evils that he had done under the mask's influence, and though they returned to sleep and guard their lands, the Skull Kid finally understood they cared for him.

In these verses for the orchestration I've created three parts, the part of the giants sung in a low bass, best if there are at least two to sing and if desired it can be split up. The part of the Skull Kid should either be a child's voice or at the very least a more innocent sounding alto or tenor voice. The part of Majora is the most difficult as it requires a bit of dramatic flare to it, the character of Majora is well a bit unstable, at times jumping from a low growl to a high squeal. There's still debate even now as to Majora's gender, so really you can get the most evil sounding villainous voice and you're set, I prefer an alto or tenor cracked voice myself, but whatever suits you best.
